Vision
is not simply the ability to see the letters at the bottom of the
eye - test chart. Vision is the ability to use our eyes properly,
efficiently and to derive meaning from the result of these actions.
Of
all our senses vision is the most important to the learning process.
Over 85% of all we ever learn is thought to originate via sight.
Nevertheless, the least investigated and most overlooked sense when
a child demonstrates learning difficulties is often the same - vision.
Vision
is not just the ability to focus clearly on an object. Vision is
the total ability to see and comprehend objects and image in space.
A
significant number of learning difficulties are vision based.
